Sarah Silverman
Celebrity Poker Player
Celebrity Poker Player Sarah Silverman was born December 1st, 1970 in Bedford, New Hampshire to parents of Russian and Polish descent.
In her teens Sarah Silverman was interested in acting and comedy, creating her controversial style early on. When she was 17 years old she performed in a Mexican restaurant singing a satire song called "Mammaries" to the tune "Memories", by Barbara Streisand.
This poker player's first career break was as a writer on Saturday Night Live during the 1993-94 season, but none of her satirical sketches were aired. She later had a featured role in HBO's comedy show "Mr. Show with Bob and David", and a guest appearance in a two-part episode of "Star Trek: Voyager".
More recently, poker celebrity Sarah Silverman starred in her own concert movie, "Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic", that raked in $1.3 million at the box office, and is expecting to be released on DVD in June, 2006.
Sarah's career as a poker player started with her premier appearances on the popular Celebrity Poker Showdown, appearing on two shows. The first show she played against poker celebrity Shannon Elizabeth, and in her second appearance against Hollywood's celebrities Matthew Perry, and Christopher Meloni. Her poker skills were good, her sense of humor at the table greater, but neither were able to carry her to the Final Table of either show.
We look forward to seeing more of Sarah Silverman's comedic performances on Poker Celebrity Showdown in the future. |
